Interesting article. I was just talking to a friend in Istanbul, who said it has been unbearably hot there. I asked if it was that way when she was growing up there four decades ago. She said absolutely not. The biggest change, in addition to a warming climate, she said, was the proliferation of 20- and 30-story buildings that cut off the ocean breezes that used to cool the city.
